Following on from Claire Lavogez’s superb goal for France in the Women’s U20 World Cup, England’s Beth Mead has produced a corker of her own in the same competition against Mexico.

Picking up the ball on the left-hand side, the Sunderland Ladies youngster nutmegged an opponent before firing home superbly from long-range.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw which sees England and Mexico joint top of Group C after two games, with two points each.
