QPR fans will no doubt be wondering why Eduardo Vargas didn’t do this a bit more often last season, after the Chilean produced a magnificent long-range strike against Peru on Tuesday night.

The 64th minute goal secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory for the Copa America hosts, despite playing most of the game against 10 men after Carlos Zambrano was shown red for a wild follow-through on Charles Aranguiz.

Arturo Vidal could’ve seen red early on too, but ultimately Chile would win the game 2-1, courtesy of two goals from Vargas (a Gary Medel own-goal supplying Peru’s equaliser).

What a scorching strike to fire the hosts into the final!

Boom.

“And this one grows eyeballs on its way into the net”? Huh? That announcer is absurd.

After what happened with Uruguay (although they were no innocents) I hope Chile gets trounced 4-0 by Argentina in the final. The refs won’t be helping them as much against Argentina as they did the last couple games…

Glitterbomb of a goal. A million WHAT!?..Megawatt goal!

    Best commentary ever.
