Defender Leonardo Blanchard usually earns his living stopping goal against Serie A new-boys Frosinone rather than scoring them. However, against Genoa on Sunday, the 27-year-old scored a rather incredible goal.
Having stayed in the Genoa box after a previous set-piece, Blanchard first attempted a bicycle kick which didn’t quite go according to plan. However, while laying on his backside after his failed goal attempt, the ball immediately came back to the centre-half, who duly stuck of a right boot and proceeded to fire the ball into the top corner of the Genoa goal. Superb invention/luck!

The game at the Stadio Matusa would ultimately end in a 2-2 draw, which leaves Frosinone in the Serie A drop-zone while Genoa go 15th.
