On the same day that Manchester United produced yet another toothless display at Old Trafford, Red Devils’ cast-off Angel Di Maria was helping PSG to a 5-1 mauling of Angers in the French capital, with one of his two goals in the game an absolute beaut.
With the score at 3-1 to Laurent Blanc’s Ligue 1 giants, Di Maria produced an outstanding volley from outside the box, which sailed over Anger ‘keeper Alexandre Letellier and into the back of the net…

The goal prior to that superb effort was also quite special, with Dutch full-back Gregory van der Wiel finishing off a superb team move, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s ball juggling the icing on the cake…

After that stupendous strike, the Argentine attacker netted another to give his side a 5-1 win. Courtesy of that victory, the Parisians now find themselves an incredible 24 points ahead of second-placed Monaco, which does rather make the french top-flight a boringly predictable affair.
As for Di Maria, what Louis van Gaal and co. wouldn’t give for a bit of attacking magic like that!
