Celtic just about managed to consolidate their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-1 away win over fellow Glaswegians Partick Thistle on Tuesday night.
However, the victory shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, especially as the Bhoys had referee John Beaton on their side for the entire night.
Indeed, Beaton ended the game with an admirable 100% pass completion rate after successfully finding Scott Brown with this delightful flicked backheel during the second half of the game…
Still can’t get over ref John Beaton trying to get a game for Celtic tonight. Fair play, nice bit of skill (via @BenTheTim)… pic.twitter.com/qzyttfbnYd

Exquisitely executed with maximum panache.
Somebody’s gunning for Mike Dean’s crown as the King of the Absurdist Match Officials.
