The World Cup favourites, Spain, demolished Poland 6-0 in a friendly yesterday. People who say Spain don’t have what it takes to win in South Africa – and a surprising number of pundits seem to be saying it – should watch this David Silva goal (Spain’s second) and think again…

What a beauty!

David Villa, Xavi, Fernando Torres, Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta (who tweaked a thigh muscle but should be fit for Spain’s opener), David Silva, Pedro, Sergi Busquets, Gerard Pique, Iker Casillas… Spain’s array of talent puts England’s World Cup ambitions into stark relief. Whoever finds a way to beat Spain in the coming weeks will surely win the tournament.
