What a lovely, lovely first touch. Mmm. Lovely. Like Nando Torres in his pomp (if you can remember that far back).

A word about Le Toux: he’s a striker for Philadelphia Union (signed from the Sounders in 2009), and although he’s French he is now a green-carded US citizen, and so eligible to play for the States. Earlier this year, Le Toux became the first Union player to start for the MLS All-Stars, against Man Utd. He sucked for Seattle, but he’s been in excellent form for Philly this year.

  1. That’s a lovely first touch – more like Henry than Torres I’d say though, he could do that nine times out of ten. Did you see the backheel volley goal the other day? Not sure which team it was, some non league game I think.

“Le Tox became the first Union player to start for the MLS All-stars…”

That may have something to do with the fact this is their first year in existence.

Bob Bradley really needs to consider this guy.

As a sounders fan, I can clear up the struggled in seattle part here. Most of his struggles were due to him being played as a winger, which is really the worst place to put him as he is UNBELIEVABLY SLOW. always had a great touch and shot, but let me reiterate, VERY VERY SLOW. so don’t expect to see him playing for the USA anytime soon… however, I think you’ll find that he was a cult hero at Sounders and no fan really has any complaints about his success. I wish him the best.

He was a good, not great player for USL Sounders. Now that he has got away from Fishville he can flourish. He does not have to deal with the egos of Montero,Keller, and Ljunberg anymore.

This Jonathan guy simply can’t let a moment to bash the Sounders go by. Good lord. Did Keller steal your woman or something, man?

Having a green card is not the same thing as being a U.S. citizen. Depending on whether his wife is a U.S. citizen, he’s between 3 and 5 years away from being a U.S. citizen.

  9. Jonathan says:

No but Jaqua and Montero raped my woman!
