@Yank: I agree. The goal is meaningless in the context of the game and I am surprised that Pies has not mentioned Schalke’s magnificent 5-2 mauling of Inter at the San Siro. Schalke’s best night in a long time. The goalkeeper made it easy as you say by coming off his line and heading it, a bit silly.

The goal was outstanding and Neuer probably did the best he could with the diving header, what were his other options?. That being said Internazionale Milan was terrible and played themselves out of the CL and it shows how good of a coach Jose is. These same uninspired lames beat everyone last year. Name one thing I said in my statement above that was untrue.
When that tor happened I think I just about died. I figured it was time for a classic Schalke display of amazing failure. We’re awesome at spectacularly losing. I felt so badly for unser Schön Manny; I thought it might effect him for the rest of the game.
