Sport Colombia ‘Keeper Quinonez Wilson Scores Record-Breaking 90-Yard Freekick (Video)

By Chris Wright

In which ‘keeper Quinonez Wilson, whose plays for Sport Colombia in Paraguay’s second tier, scores the longest recorded freekick in history on Sunday by firing home from an amazing 83 metres out – or approximately 90.7699038 yards in old money.

You (as was I) may be expecting a long hoof goalwards coupled with a dodgy divot carrying the ball over his opposing number but, while it may just have been a hefty ‘route one’ clout into the box, Wilson’s connection was pure and true – hitting the back of the net without so much as bouncing…

Paul Robinson eat your heart out.
