Raheem Sterling Scores Cracker As England U17s Get World Cup Off To Winning Start (Video)

By Chris Wright

Enjoying slightly better luck than their U21 counterparts – after hitting the woodwork nearly 150 times in the first-half, England’s U17 tyros eventually got their World Cup campaign in Mexico off to a winning start with a 2-0 win over Rwanda thanks to a ballsy little dink from Everton’s Hallam Hope and a bit of a corker from Liverpool prodigy Raheem Sterling…

Merseyside FTW!

Considering that Rwanda were playing their very first game at a global football tournament, altogether sterner tests against Uruguay and Canada now lie in wait for England.

  1. Trololololo says:

England, conquerors of Rwanda. Seriously though, well done those lads. Hope showed good commitment to chase that one down and Stirling’s goal was indeed a cracker.

  2. Tom Jones says:

Extremely poorly edited video. The commentary wasn’t that good either but that could come from the rubbish editing of the vid.

  3. Calski says:

Euro-sport Commentary is the 2nd most boring passionless thing in the world. 1st being Michael Owen.

  4. Sam Humphreys says:

It’s Hallam Hope by the way.

  5. Solihull United says:

@tom jones– watch the video for the highlights, not the the commentary. i hope you feel better.
the match gave me hope for englands future after watching the embarrasing 2-1 loss. couldve easily been 7-0, good match indeed.
