Monaco aren’t exactly basking in rude health at the moment, languishing down at the arse-end of the French second tier following their relegation from Ligue 1 last season – though Marama Vahirua’s sublime volleyed goal against Le Mans (to equalise with just five minutes left to play) on Saturday certainly provided a brief distraction from the club’s ongoing woes.

Thanks to some lovely juggling from Vahirua in the middle, the ball makes it in from the touchline to the top corner without so much as touching the ground…
