Fortunately for the rest of humankind, a mix of being permanently injured and/or bench-bound has given Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez ample time and opportunity to focus his efforts into launching an extra-curricular music career.

Doing the Royston Drenthe‘, as it’s known in the trade.

We’ve already seen Jey M (to use his clubland alter-ego) popping up on other people’s dance tracks, but finally – finally! – the 23-year-old has proffered forth his very first solo track: a sleek little dancefloor-rumbler called “Yo Sabia”, which translates as “I Knew”.

Featuring cameos from the likes of Alexis, Fido, De Le Ghetto and Carlitos – it is, of course, a seminal work of the reggaeton genre…

See, told you it was good.
