Corinthians have announced that they are planning to build a cemetery in the shadows of their stadium so their most devoted fans can go on supporting their beloved club even after death.

The Brazilian club intend to open the “Corinthians Forever” cemetery on land just outside Sao Paulo city centre, giving fans the choice of one of 70,000 plots to gradually decompose in.

According to BBC Sport, it will also function as the final resting place for some of Corinthians’ legendary players.

Ricardo Polito, the bod in charge of the project, also added that the C0rinthians Forever cemetery will have “function rooms, landscaped gardens, a restaurant, a lake and a nature reserve”.

Sounds lovely. Muito tranquila, if you will.

Schalke 04 have a similar thing next to the Veltins Arena, though it don’t half look bleak in winter.
