With both sides coming off the back of their first league victories last time out, it was Norwich that kept their momentum going at Carrow Road last night – overcoming a fairly knackered-looking Sunderland to register their first home win of the campaign in front of an impressively large crowd for a rain-soaked Monday night.

In fact, Sunlan’s general performance can be accurately summed up in the space of one photo…

Goals from Leon Bennett and Steve Morison did the business for the Canaries while Keiran Richardson pinged home a 25-yard daisy-cutter consolation for the Mackems with a couple of minutes left to play.

The result duly nudges Paul Lambert’s side up into ninth place in the Premier League pile.
