Sorry, I couldn’t help it with this one. This description of Spurs superstar Gareth Bale as a ‘winger-cum-hole’ player is too good and too childish an opportunity to ignore. This description came courtesy of SportsPro Magazine, by the way.

Yes it is adolescent and it is base. But c’mon…  ’cum-hole’ ?

   @Confused reader – Holy God, you are right! Was sure it was a US publication. “winger-cum-hole player” certainly isn’t a phrase I’ve ever ever heard in the UK. Have amended piece now!! Ta!
