Alan’s already covered it in his Spurs-Basel round-up, but just in case you missed it here’s Gareth Bale’s nasty-looking-but-potentially-not-quite-as-bad-as-it-first-appeared ankle injury last night in infinite GIF form for those who wish to study a human ankle going all rubbery again and again and again…

Latest word is that Tottenham are hoping Bale merely twanged his ankle ligaments and may only miss their next two games before returning against Man City on April 21st.

We, however, aren’t quite so sure.

    did that to my ankle playing tennis last week. played football the day after, he’ll be fine. rolling the ankle hurts like a bitch the day you roll it but is just sore after that

    @TravisKOP
    It always depends on how hard you twist it. He had all his weight on that foot, so I think it might be at least a couple weeks off. I once landed with my foot sideways and 3 hours later it looked like a potato. I couldn’t even put a shoe on. It was almost a week since I was able to walk without crutches (and a few weeks of physio), but then again I’m over 90 kilos and didn’t have a whole physio department to fix that injury…

    dont worry spurs fans, Travis said he will be fine
