Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Newcastle United – Premier League – 10th November 2013
Tim Krul produced a superb performance between the posts for Newcastle as the Magpies beat misfiring Spurs 1-0 at White Hart Lane.
Loic Remy netted the only goal of the game on 13 minutes when he fired home from a Yoan Gouffran pass but after that, it was the home side who peppered the Magpies’ goal with shots, only for the superb Krul to frustrate every effort.
Christian Eriksen, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Younes Kaboul, Andros Townsend and pretty much every Spurs player tried to get the better of Krul but the Dutchman was not to be beaten.
Spurs have now scored just nine league goals in their 11 lgames this season, something which is sure to worry Andre Villas-Boas. Alan Pardew, on the other hand, will be delighted with his Franco-Toon players.
