Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Cardiff City – Premier League – 2nd March 2014
Since taking over at beleaguered Cardiff, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was enjoyed just one win in eight Premier League games, with Sunday’s defeat at White Hart Lane keeping his side three points away from safety. Roberto Soldado was the goal-hero for Spurs, netting just before the half-hour mark to end his goal-drought. Former Spurs man Steven Caulker came close to netting a goal for the Bluebirds himself, only to hit the woodwork from close-range as the visitors pushed for a goal. However, despite a largely disciplined and well-organised display, the Welsh side would ultimately lose yet again. Spurs, on the other hand, stay comfortably in fifth place.
