Swansea City 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur – Premier League – 14th December 2014

Another late goal for Spurs secured them a hard-fought and arguably undeserved victory away at Swansea on Sunday.

The visitors he lead after just four minutes, courtesy of a powerful Harry Kane header. However, for the majority of the game it was Swansea who were the better side, with Wilfried Bony a constant thorn in Tottenham’s side. The Ivorian did get his side back on level terms just after half-time. Both Jonjo Shelvey and Jefferson Montero  then went close for the hosts but it was Christian Eriksen who would provide the sucker punch on 89 minutes, cutting inside before firing past Gerhard Tremmel in the Swans’ goal.

Spurs go seventh, four points off a Champions League spot while Garry Monk’s Swansea are just two places and two points further back.
