Burnley 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur – FA Cup 3rd Round – 5th January 2015

In front of a measly crowd of 9,348 at Turf Moor, Burnley and Tottenham played out a largely dull FA Cup clash.

After a turgid first 45, things got a bit better after the break with the introduction of Harry Kane adding a much-needed spark to the Lilywhites. On 56 minutes, in-form Belgian Nacer Chadli opening the scoring after a Ben Davies centre but the visitors failed to build on that lead as the Clarets fought back. Sub Sam Vokes, back from injury, was the goal-hero for the hosts, firing home to level the scores on 73 minutes. Kane then had a great chance to win the game for Mauricio Pochettino’s side but ultimately both teams will have to do it all again at White Hart Lane.
