Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 Burnley – FA Cup 3rd Round Replay – 14th January 2015

Spurs came from two goals down to win against Burnley at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night, a result which sees the north Londoners face another Premier League side, Leicester City, in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Burnley got off to a superb start, with goals from Marvin Sordell and then Ross Wallace putting the visitors 2-0 up within the first eight minutes. However, Mauricio Pochettino’s much-changed Tottenham side fought back, with Paulinho (on 10 minutes) and then a fine strike from Etienne Capoue, just before the break, levelling the scores.

In the second period, the Lilywhites took control of the game, with Vlad Chiriches netting from a Paulinho corner before a cross from Roberto Soldado (who once again failed to get on the scoresheet) was converted by Danny Rose. The Clarets had no reply as Spurs deservedly marched on to the fourth round.
