Amazing. To beat Arsenal and Chelsea in one week is the stuff of dreams for us Tottenham fans. And despite only winning each match by a one-goal margin, Spurs totally deserved to take six points from their two big London showdowns. Now bring on Man Utd…

As against the Gooners, the same Spurs players really stepped up: Michael Dawson (please take a look, Mr Capello), Luka Modric, Heurelho Gomes, Tom Huddlestone (improving fast) and Gareth Bale (improving at a frankly ridiculous rate, like some Pro Evo starlet – what a player he’s going to be).

Things were made easier when John Terry was sent off for two rash tackles (I thought he was a tad unlucky, actually), but Spurs were the better team, no doubt.

This result not only gives Spurs a great chance of playing in the Champions League next season, it also blows the title race wide open. Fergie, I hope you’re going to buy Arry a nice bottle of vintage red for this.
