Former Newcastle and Tottenham star David Ginola eased fans’ fears with an upbeat Tweet after the hunky French legend collapsed from what was initially reported as a heart attack on Thursday.
The 49-year-old had been taking part in a celebrity golf tournament in Mandelieu when he is reported to have collapsed. Initial reports claimed that Ginola had suffered a heart attack, but Tweeting from his hospital bed in Monaco, the star was in good spirits, blaming the heat on his collapse after a game of football…
Footy match in the midday sun, not very clever. Now having some tests done. Whoever voted for a World Cup in Qatar in the summer?

Ginola’s witty Tweet referenced his attempt to replace Sepp Blatter as FIFA boss last year, with the decision to award Qatar the 2022 World Cup central to the Frenchman’s ultimately rescinded candidacy.
The ex-PSG attacker apparently fell ill during a game of football at the home of Jean-Stefan Camerini, the organiser of the Mapauto Golf Cup. An unconscious Ginola was airlifted to the Princess Grace Hospital, but thankfully he regained consciousness before sending his Twitter message.
Let’s hope the Gallic charmer makes a full and swift recovery!
