West Ham secured a precious comeback win against Tottenham at London Stadium on Wednesday night, a result which eases the pressure on manager Slaven Bilic.

The Hammers got off to a terrible start, with Moussa Sissoko netting from a Son Heung-min through-ball.

Before the break, the Lilywhites found themselves 2-0 up, with Dele Alli scoring via a deflected curling effort.

The hosts looked dead and buried but they rallied in the second-half, with Andrew Ayew netting a five-minute brace, with the first of those goals coming on 55 minutes.

Then second then came just five minutes later.

On 70 minutes, the east Londoners completed the turnaround when Angelo Ogbonna headed home from a corner.

Spurs would push for an equaliser, with Adrian in the West Ham goal thwarting Alli and Sissoko.

However, with man of the moment Harry Kane rested for this clash, Tottenham couldn’t get that all important third goal.

The game would end in a welcome 3-2 win for West Ham, who now progress to the last eight, with the pressure eased at least a little bit on Bilic.

One West Ham fan, however, had a less productive end to the night, when he (an adult) tried to dive in front of a child in order to snatch Mark Noble’s shirt…

Serves him right!
