To be fair, gareth bale may have shown plenty of promise last year. But in no way did he show that he would be demoralizing the best right back in the world. I do wish that fifa would update their specs throughout the season, though.

Well generally Bale is faster then Maicon, but you shouldn’t look it and compare it like that. It’s because of the position. It’s because Maicon is one of the best right backs in the world, in fact there is only one better – Bane Ivanovic, and there are a lot more better players on the LM position then Gareth Bale.
Fifa didnt make some deep survey on these stats. So, that’s it. Hey Sam, no one can be improved so dramatically. Bale was and is fast. not “improved” suddenly against Maicon.

sorry but you forgot that maicon played the whole second match inured. did you see bale in the first half of the first match? no? maicon is way better than him. when maicon switched to mittlefield and cordoba was used as right winger bale scored 3 goals, but i didn’t noticed him when maicon was on the right back my friend
