Rafael Van Der Vaart Plans To Stay At Tottenham Until The End Of Time

By Chris Wright

Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart has warmed the collective cockles of Spuds the length and breadth of the land today by revealing that he is so goddamn happy at White Hart Lane that he wants it to continue forever and a day, until civilisation crumbles, human kind is wiped from the face of the Earth and even the deepest oceans run bone-dry.

Or until he retires, whichever comes first.

Said VDV:

“I love it here. I love the players and I love the down-to-earth attitude at the club. If I have the opportunity, I would stay here for the rest of my career.”

The free-wheeling Dutchman also took time to outline this weekend’s clash with Premier League leaders Manchester United as the biggest game of the season so far:

“Tottenham-United is the biggest game of the Premier League,” he added. “Not only for us at Spurs but for all the Premier League because United are unbeaten.

“If we beat them, it opens up the league for everyone else who is chasing the title. And that includes us – we’ve got the squad to win the league.”

Church.

Was already a player of great potential towards the end of his Ajax days. Wonder why no one moved in for him earlier. Definitely should have got him instead of Dirk Kuyt or Ryan Babel..

  5. Van der vaart is by far the best signing I have witnessed in the 23 years I have been watching football, £8million!!! that is half as much as what they paid for bentley! van der vaart is a class acta great player who is keeping things simple and interesting, he has been very consistent so far scoring many goals and creating several assists, its all about the dutchman, cant wait tosee what he does to milan!
