Europa League: Hearts 0-5 Tottenham – Inevitable ‘Spurs Break Hearts’ Pun (Photos & Highlights)

By Chris Wright

How about that headline, eh? We’re trying ‘post-modern’ on Pies.

Anywho, Hearts made the unfortunate error of allowing Tottenham to play exactly like Tottenham in the first-leg of their Europa League qualifier at Tynecastle last night and, as a result, got thoroughly spanked for their troubles.

Spurs were obviously a class apart and controlled proceedings for the majority of the evening and, save a five-minute rush straight after half-time, Hearts did very little to trouble the dirty Saverners apart from kicking them a few times hither and thither.

Something tells us you can probably expect to see a few unfamiliar names in ‘Arry’s line up for next week’s return leg at the Lane.

Highlights (as ever, catch them while you can)…

I’d imagine spurs are favorites in this years tournament, well unless Barcelona or Real Madrid somehow finish 3rd in the group stages.
