Hands, knees, sneeze!

Following initial interest in the summer, Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly preparing a fresh €11.5 million bid for Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas. ‘The Special One’ may also opt to offer Spurs a cash-plus-player deal with Sulley Muntari being used as aggregate.

The transfer is likely to appeal to Spurs boss Harry Redknapp as Jenas is currently out of favour at White Hart Lane and the Londoners need cash to fund any potential January moves for the likes of Ruud Van Nistelrooy or Younes Kaboul.

This raises an issue that has come up several times over the last few days – It would be nice to see an Englishman move abroad and challenge himself in a top foreign league for once. Jenas isn’t the most gifted player but I think he is a lot better than most Spurs supporters give him credit for. He is capable of moments of real quality but I concede that they have been too few and far between of late and the lion’s share of €12 million does seem a little too tempting to turn down.

What do you reckon Spurs fans? Would you be glad to see the back of him?

To lightweigt for the premier league. Never ever bossed a game. My 14 yr old shows glimpses of brilliance. For 50k a week you kinda expect more.

I actually think that JJ would be better suited to Serie A than the Premier League. There are big differences between what is expected from a CM in Italy than in England. I think this move could work well for all parties

I agree with second commenter – he’s perfectly good enough to play in Serie A.

please please please someone take him of of us, i personally think hes the worst central midfielder we have in our squad at the moment, and using him to finance a move for sandro, or in a swap deal for muntari seems ideal (if he is realy worth that amount to anyone). He is just too inconsistent, he lacks creativity, and i dont see him as an inteligent player whatsoever, how he has managed to make it into so many England squads i will never know!

he cant impose himself on games and looks like spurs version of abou diaby, the midfield sleepwalking king

Ya unfortunately he hasn’t really ever stepped up and proven himself. Of course he has the potential and talent, but given that deal I think spurs would be smart to take it. I mean the cash would of course be a plus, but I think if they did in fact get Muntari, that would be a hell of an addition. Granted I haven’t seen him play all that much since he left England, I find that he is one hell of a player.

So bottom line I would say go for it.
