France Soccer Cabaye PSG

While they’re hardly the most stunning batch of images you’re going to see (essentially a man getting out of a van and walking toward a hospital), what we have here is photographic evidence that soon-to-not-be Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye is currently in Paris to undergo his PSG medical ahead of his increasingly imminent £19million (plus add-ons) move to the Ligue 1 table-toppers.

Interestingly, PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has outlined the three reasons that he was so keen to shell out on bringing Cabaye back to France, one of which being that he is apparently “a nice guy”.

Al-Khelaifi told L’Eqipe:

“We decided to target Cabaye for three reasons: One, he is a very good player, very interesting to us.

“Two, I have never met him but I was told he is a nice guy.

“Three, he is French and it is very important for us to recruit French players at PSG in order to win the French championship.”

Sounds like sound, almost Kinnear-esque business strategy to us!
