“Me? Really?”

With Aaron Ramsey out for at least the next six weeks, Arsenal are being linked with a shock, last-gasp, deadline day loan move for Spartak Moscow midfielder Kim Kallstrom – remember, from Championship Manager 01/02?

Several sources are reporting the rumours but ESPN FC have gone one better and claimed that they’ve actually been informed about the move for 31-year-old Kallstrom by actual Arsenal sources – with Wenger keen to bring someone in after the purported £30million Julian Draxler deal fell through yesterday.

This all coming after Arsenal’s official Twitter account posted and then hastily deleted the following Tweet…

What Arsene actually said was the following:

“It is 80-20% [in favour] of us bringing someone in today. We are open-minded and active, but there will be no anti-climax from me if we don’t do it.”

…with Kallstrom being inserted as the ‘someone’ according to almost every major news outlet.

Odd, but Wenger’s not averse to making a left-field signing every now and again. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
