Homesick Deco Desperate To Leave Chelsea
By Chris Wright
“Homeward bound, I wish I was…”
Chelsea midfielder Deco has revealed that he is desperate to cut his stay at Stamford Bridge short, in order to return to his homeland of Brazil in the summer.
Speaking to Brazilian TV programme On The Road, the Portuguese international admitted that he is yearning to go back home;
“I am anticipating a return to Brazil. I would like to go to Corinthians but if I have another good proposal from a club in Brazil I will end up going.
I want to go back to Brazil. The dream of playing for Corinthians is perhaps the only thing in my career left to achieve.”
However, Deco’s contract at Chelsea doesn’t expire until 2011 and negotiations are ongoing to resolve the 32 year old’s future.
