Rumour No. 1: Tottenham Hotspur are close to finalising a deal with Internacional over midfielder Sandro. The 21-year-old Brazilian has been a long-term target for Spurs, and it is believed the £6.5 million deal will go through as soon as Inter’s run in the Copa Libertadores is over.

Rumour No. 2: Former Real Madrid president (and professional sh*t-stirrer) Ramon Calderon has predicted that his former team will make a huge bid for Wayne Rooney in the summer after becoming ‘obsessed’ with the Manchester United striker.

The Best of the Rest: Juventus ‘keeper Gianluigi Buffon has dismissed the ‘baseless’ rumours linking him with a move to Manchester City.

Tottenham and Everton are reportedly tracking Burnley winger Chris Eagles.

Everton are also interested in bringing Real Mallorca defender Ivan Ramis to Goodison.

Former Arsenal and Portsmouth defender Lauren has joined Spanish Segunda Division outfit Cordoba on a free transfer.
