No specific details have been released as yet, but Barcelona have just published the following Tweets – showing Luis Suarez draped in the famous blaugrana for the first time…

Barca have simply said that Suarez will be joining on a five-year contract and that he will be formally presented next week.

Neymar/Messi/Suarez as a front three? Strong.

  1. SG says:

Isn’t signing for a club “football-related activity” that he’s supposedly banned from?

  2. Ryan says:

What happened to Barcelona’s transfer ban? The current FIFA regime are a bunch of corrupt noodles.

  3. Al says:

@ Ryan – you’ve uncovered the key to all this, Barcelona are banned from transfers but as Suarez is banned from all football activity by a bizarre twist of logic and legal form he is the only player in the world they are actually permitted to sign, handy that

  4. SG says:

I thought that ban was temporarily lifted pending an appeal. Either way, they, and Suarez, have flaunted with FIFA ‘rules’, and Blatter seems unconcerned.

  5. Rory says:

State of that first picture! They spent €94M on a player and 2 bob on photoshop.

  6. Joe says:

Should give Barca that extra bite up fron for..etc, etc

  7. wolfinho says:

i guess they don’t mind that their defense was woeful last season…

  8. zod says:

Ha! This really is an awful photoshop job. Are Barcelona that hard up for cash that they got the tea lady to do it instead of at least paying €25 to a graphics student?… (Then again, I imagine posing for photos in front of the world’s media in a new club kit after transferring to a new club probably falls under one of those “all football related activity” thingees).

  9. Jarren says:

    Precisely, Rory!

I couldn’t believe that was an official shot until it was republished a few times in the leading media.

    A bizarre decision.
