Earlier this afternoon, Romelu Lukaku emitted the following Tweet, showing himself mid-air in a plane heading somewhere to do something along with the cryptic message “Time to write a new chapter…”

Only, it wasn’t altogether that cryptic, with several sources now reporting that Lukaku’s “new chapter” is going to be much the same as his last one, with the Belgian striker now on the very verge of re-joining Everton in a £25million permanent move from Chelsea, with just the fine print to be quibbled over.
Word is that Lukaku has agreed a five-year contract at Goodison after the Toffees were swift in meeting Chelsea’s asking price for the 21-year-old, who scored 16 goals on loan at the club last season.
So that’s Muhamed Besic and Romelu Lukaku on board for next season, with Ross Barkley also committing his long-term future to the club.
All in all, it’s been a pretty good week for Everton fans.
