Seven months after signing for Hull City, Shane Long has completed a £12million move to Southampton this afternoon as the The Saints continue to blast through the takings from their summer jumble sale.
Here he is with new boss Ronald Koeman, doing the whole “shirt aloft” thing…

Long has signed a four-year deal at Southampton and Hull have made a tidy little profit on a striker they paid £7million for just six or seven months ago.
There has been a bit of harumphing from saints fans about the inflated fee, but we’re afraid that’s pretty much the going rate for a proven 10-ish-goal-a-season Premier League striker these days (Steven Fletcher ahem ahem).
Deal with it.
