Huzzah, huzzah, the drought is over! Just seven months since he made his last competitive domestic appearance, Nicklas Bendtner has finally found himself new employers –  officially joining Bundesliga side Wolfsburg on a three-year deal…

Here he is being presented with his new shirt…

Oh people of Wolfsburg – you lucky, lucky people!

Just as an aside, after a summer of chasing the likes of Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Morata, here’s what Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking told Kicker while unveiling Bendtner:

“We dared to touch the top shelf of players. It’s empty now though, so we need to look a bit further down.”

Oucharoonies!

Even though kicker states it as being said at the moment of presentation, I heard that statement a couple of days ago already. And even if it was that way, I doubt this could actually harm Mr. “I am better than Messi”‘s confidence

    Poor Wolfsburg
