Deadline Day: Arsene Wenger Flies Out To Rome On Transfer Deadline Day…To Referee Charity Game

By Chris Wright

Soccer - UEFA Champions League - Qualifying - Play Off - Second Leg - Arsenal v Besiktas - Emirates Stadium

Arsene Wenger caused a flurry of excitement this morning when word spread that the Arsenal manager had been spotted flying out to Rome on transfer deadline day.

Indeed, it’s our understanding that Wenger is actually scheduled to referee part of the “Rome for Peace” exhibition game at the Stadio Olimpico tonight…
