It’s taken a while due to the complicated logistics involved but, as of this evening, Juan Cuadrado is now officially a Chelsea player having completed a £27million move from Fiorentina.

Here’s all the proof you need…

If Tino says it’s true, then that’s good enough for us!

UPDATE: It’s 100% kosher now, as per Chelsea’s Twitter feed…

As mentioned previously, Chelsea had to sort out Andre Schurrle’s jettisoning to Wolfsburg and Mohamed Salah’s loan switch to Fiorentina before the Cuadrado deal could go through – with the Egyptian winger making room for his Colombian counterpart by toddling off to the Viola until the end of the season.

Weird one really, as Cuadrado doesn’t really represent an improvement on Chelsea’s current stable of wingers – seems like just another expensive “League Cup winger” to Pies, but hey ho.

In fairness, why apply any sort of logic when it comes to Roman Abramovich and his whims?

One thing you should probably know about this Cuadrado character – he dances…a lot.

Smooth as milk.

Quite the dance routine he has put together…

Wow, this guy’s going to get really annoying, really quickly..

Faster, more skillful and better end product than Willian. I expect him to take his slot

The Salah loan is until the end of next season, not this.

Cuadrado can be rather good on his day, Chris. He has that blistering pace out wide that stretches defenses, is tactically intelligent and scores. Moreover, like Bale, he is one of those wingers that started as a sideback, so he offers quite a lot defensively too tracking back to mark his man. I might be proven wrong, but I think he will be a good fit as he seems like a ‘Jose-sort-of-player’. Good on attack but equally adept at parking the bus if need be.
