Liverpool winger Albert Riera seems to have decided that life at Anfield isn’t that bad after all – which may or may not have something to do with the fact that his proposed move to Spartak Moscow is dead in the water after failing to agree personal terms with the Russian side.

Speaking to Madrid rag MARCA, the Spaniard confirmed that his Russian switch has fallen through;

“Negotiations with Spartak Moscow are stalled. My intention is to decide my future in the summer.”

The 27-year old then went on to deliver the good news that all Liverpool fans were waiting to hear;

“I want to continue my career at Liverpool because it is one of the best clubs in the world.

The feeling is spectacular, we have a great stadium and I feel very good at Liverpool… I speak with Fernando Torres and Reina and agree on the greatness of Liverpool.”

How do you say ‘too little, too late’ in Spanish?
