Despite Roland Koeman insisting that there would be no more departures from St. Mary’s this season, Sky Sports News tell us that Victor Wanyama has told the Saints that he wants to leave.

According to those infamous ‘Sky Sources’ (i.e. Twitter), Southampton apparently approached the Kenyan with the offer of a new improved contract, only to be told by the combative midfielder that he wanted to move on.

The 24-year-old man has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham, with Mauricio Pochettino eager to link up again with the player he signed from Celtic two years ago. However, the player has previously been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, who still look in need of a defensive midfielder to share the load with Francis Coquelin.

If he does go to north London, one wonders how yet another high-profile departure will affect Koeman’s upwardly mobile Saints.

I am outraged at the fact that Samuel Eto’os goal in the 2006 champions league final still stands and I think it should be looked at and overruled. also Henrik Larsson is highly overrated.
