It’s 99.99% official. €30million has changed hands and, pending a work permit and international clearance, Son Heung-Min is a Tottenham player.

The South Korean forward joins Spurs on a five-year deal from Bayer Leverkusen, where he scored 17 goals in all competitions last season.

Indeed, Spurs welcomed their new boy on board with a pithy hashtag pun…

Go ahead and steel yourself for a barrage of puntastic Son headlines – ‘Carry On My Wayward Son’, ‘Son-shine Superman’, ‘Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Son’, etc, etc.

As we stated elsewhere, from what little we’ve seen of him in action, Son seems to represent that perfect, brittle mix of potentially great/potentially flaky that suggests he’ll fit right in at Spurs – one way or another.

Could go either way, this one.
