With his beloved team desperately short on fire power so far this season, one Newcastle fan hatched a fiendish masterplan in a desperate attempt to entice Leicester City goal-machine Jamie Vardy to St James’ Park in the transfer window.
The lone wolf’s plan in its entirety: Throw a Newcastle shirt over Vardy’s garden wall and hope for the best.
Sadly, it just led to Vardy’s bemused girlfriend Tweeting a photo of the shirt draped forlornly in the shrubbery…
