Everton To Wrap Up Deal For Portuguese Sensation Joao Silva
By Chris Wright
Everton are all but set to tie up a deal for 19-year-old ‘striking sensation’ Joao Silva, who currently plays in the second tier of Portuguese football with Aves.
An agreement is apparently in place between the two clubs, and Silva – who will cost somewhere in the region of £650,000 – is excited about the challenges of the Premier League;
“I am very happy Everton like me. It’s a dream for anyone to play in the Premier League. Everton are a big club and this is a big jump for me but I feel it’s the right move.”
Despite his tender years, Silva is already being compared with former Portugal and Paris Saint-Germain striker Pauleta – which presumably means he will be consummately adept at putting away one chance in every fifteen.

Just to show you how shitty (in a Benfica-barmy nazi-like propaganda way) portuguese sports rags are, I had to read about this transfer on a english website…
