Emmanuel Adebayor’s blessed genetics have earned him a contract at Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.

After angling hard for a move back to the Premier League last week, it’s the team currently second in the Super Lig that have taken the plunge on the temperamental Togolese target man…

Strangely, Basaksehir used their official Instagram account to give a ridiculously detailed break-down of Adebayor’s medical:

Our new transfer, Emmanuel Adebayor, passed his health screening at the Medipol Mega University Hospital.

Advanced blood tests done; Adebayor’s orthopaedics, internal medicine, ophthalmology and otolaryngology were evaluated by the general surgery and cardiology departments.

Health checks and a chest X-ray has been completed to include cardiac tests and abdominal ultrasound.

Not that there was any need for all those tests, mind you.

Golden genes.

The guy posing with Adebayor is Erdogan’s brother-in-law (also the club president) Gumusdag. In a league dominated by Istanbul giants Galatasaray, Fenerbahce & Besiktas – no wonder why they are in the top flight so comfortably despite having a team made of old mercenaries – very befitting for Adebayor indeed.
