This time last week he was *this* close to joining Manchester United and now look – Alvaro Morata is officially a Chelsea player.
The 24-year-old striker has completed a move from Real Madrid, signing a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Nice whistle, Alvaro. Nice to see standards haven’t been abandoned entirely.
The fee is reported to be an initial £58million potentially rising to £70million, which comfortably makes Morata the most expensive Spanish player of all time, eclipsing the £50million Chelsea paid Liverpool for Fernando Torres.
Wihout wishing to be derogatory, the Blues will probably be seeking a little more bang for their buck this time round.
