Happy now Jose? Uefa has named Chelsea as one of the eight seeds for next season’s Champions League. The other English CL teams – Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal – are also seeded; England is the only country to have all of its representatives seeded.
Chelsea can not now be drawn with any seed in the first group stage, so they will avoid the likes of holders AC Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, as well as the other three Premiership teams.
The draw for the Champions League qualifying rounds will take place on 29 June.
