If whispers on the wind are to be believe, then Leicester City are within a day or so of appointing a successor to Craig Shakespeare.
The man(ager) in their sights is reported to be one Claude Puel, the charisma-less Frenchman who just sort of came and went at Southampton a while ago.
According to the Telegraphs man in the Midlands, John Percy, the Foxes have entered “final negotiations” to formally bring Puel on board…

In fairness, Puel did drag the Saints to an eighth-placed finish and the League Cup final last season, but he also made them interminably boring.
Looks like Leicester are opting for stark pragmatism, which probably isn’t a bad idea considering their wildly fluctuating fortunes over the past few years.
