The deed is done. Everton have signed Cenk Tosun from Besiktas for the low, low price of just £27million.
The Toffees actually formally announced Tosun’s arrival at half-time of last night’s FA Cup third-round defeat against Liverpool, which is a little odd – but hey ho.
The 26-year-old Turkish striker has a four-and-a-half-year contract, binding him to the club until 2022.

Tosun has stuck away 41 goals in 96 Super Lig appearances for Besiktas since the start of the 2014/15 season, which is more than any other player in the same period, with Sam Allardyce branding him “the best in Europe” at the sub-£30million price point.
We. Shall. See.
