In breaking ‘names you haven’t heard since 2014’ news, David N’Gog has signed for Ross County on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The French striker, 28, had been a free agent since leaving Greek Super League side Panionios in October.

N’Gog scored 19 goals in three years at Liverpool, forming part of the Reds’ revered Ngog-Ngoo-Amoo reserve team trifecta.

He then moved on to Bolton before enduring a vague loan stint with Swansea in 2013/14 which we doubt either party can fully recall.

Of course, he’s perhaps more well remembered – possibly only by Pies – as the man who reportedly went AWOL from Reims a few years ago, only to later be found in his own hotel room.

Anyway, best of luck to him at The Staggies.
