Newly-promoted Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli are set to offer veteran Arsenal defender Sol Campbell a lucrative one-year deal to join them in their push to remain in the top flight of German football next season.

Campbell is waiting to open contract negotiations over a new deal at Arsenal following an impressive stint back at the Emirates, but St. Pauli hope to tempt the former England man away from London with a big-money offer.

With a couple (at the very least) of new defenders expected to be added to the Arsenal squad over the coming months, do you reckon ‘Big Sol’ should be seriously considering doing a ‘Sami Hyypia’?

Let him go. We dnt need all these old men. He is only trying to impress; he doesnt have the energy for the job again.

LOL, that says alot for the Arsenal defence. Mind you, Wenger did actually pay money to sign Silvestre.
